A Warner Robins man and his family had their story told by the national television program 48 Hours Saturday night, in the season premiere.
Tim Sisco of Warner Robins said his brother was Mike Sisco. Mike Sisco and his fiancee Karen Harkness were shot to death in Kansas in 2002. But Tim and his family said they knew pretty early on who the murderer was, Mike Sisco's ex-wife, Dana Chandler.
"A year to the day we were sitting in Mike's living room, a year to the day prior to the murders, Mike actually said 'one of these days you're going to find me dead and you are going to know who did it,'" said Tim Sisco.
The case went cold for years, and the Sisco family said part of the reason why it heated up again, was because 48 Hours did a story about them in 2009. Chandler faced trial in March 2012, and was convicted. She is currently serving two 50 year prison sentences, according to the Sisco family.
Family members, including Hailey Sisco, flew into Central Georgia to watch the season premiere episode together Saturday night.
"Without my family and friends support I would not be doing as well as I am now. That is the one and only reason why I am standing today," said Hailey Sisco.
Hailey said when she knew her mother was guilty, she taped her phone conversations with her.
"She would talk to her daughter, so I did whatever I could to help get her arrested. I can't live with the killer of my dad getting away with it," said Hailey Sisco.
She and her brother also testified against her mother at her trial.
"Your mom is supposed to love you and she tells you that she loves you and you take the most important person in my life and you love me? It doesn't add up and to accept that, the reality that she could care less about me and how it could have affected me, that's one of the hardest things ever," said Hailey Sisco.
Tim Sisco of Warner Robins and his family said they are closing a painful chapter in their lives.
"I have no more thought anymore. She is in jail. She is doing her time and I am free. I feel free," said Hailey Sisco.
