Three people are charged with murder after a Laurens County woman died from an early morning shooting Friday.
It happened around 1 a.m. at 2251 Buie Road.
A news release from the Laurens County Sheriff's Department says a woman reported that someone shot two people inside her house.
Officers found 20-year-old Gerald Clark and 37-year-old Dawn Hammond wounded inside the home.
Hammond later died at a local hospital, and Clark was treated for a serious gunshot wound.
Later Friday, officers arrested three people:
29-year-old Joseph Jones of Laurens County;
38-year-old Deron Johnson, also of Laurens County
and 21-year-old Jonathan Cook of Dublin.
The news release says Johnson is the mother of Gerald Clark. She and Joseph Jones were involved in a recent dispute with him.
All three are now in the Laurens County jail.
