Dr. Edward Clark, Medical Director of the Childrens Health Center at MCCG, said that if you're going to be outdoors it's important to stay cool, hydrated and to wearing light clothing.
This is especially important for kids at summer camp... like Trinity Woods Summer Day Camp in Macon. Campers play everything from hunger games to checkers. They also swim in the creek to stay cool.
Camp director Lee Hopf said they make sure parents send kids with water bottles and hearty food.
