VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a Moody Air Force Base airman has been sentenced to nine years in prison on child pornography possession charges.
U.S. Attorney Michael Moore announced Tuesday that 23-year-old Brandon Meredith Hardy was sentenced last week in Valdosta and has been ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release after his sentence. Prosecutors say Hardy is also ordered to register as a sex offender after his release.
Moore says Hardy used a computer at the base to search for and download child pornography. Moore says Hardy became the target of an undercover investigation and a federal search warrant was executed Nov. 4, 2010.
Moore says investigators found a computer and thumb drive featuring children as young as 12 engaged in sex acts with men.
