DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police in Douglasville say a 7-year-old boy has died in a crash that left several other children injured.
Authorities say an SUV carrying six people flipped several times on Interstate 20 Friday night and some of the passengers were ejected.
Police say 7-year-old Jamaul Lewis, of Douglasville, was pronounced dead on the scene. A 5-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were both critically injured, two 15-year-old girls were also hospitalized and police say the woman who was driving suffered minor injuries.
Douglasville Police Deputy Chief Gary Sparks told WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/16j5MTQ) that the driver may have missed her exit and lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators have said the SUV was carrying a group of family members that were on their way to visit a relative at a local hotel.
