COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a Georgia teenager has been bullied since other students learned she's the person who accused a teacher of sending lewd messages.
The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/16nlSWS) reports that a 16-year-old student from Northside High School accused a teacher of propositioning her.
Prosecutor Letitia Sikes says other students have since been bullying the girl. But education officials say the student hasn't been harassed at the school.
Authorities say 37-year-old Tucker Hearn is free on bond after being charged with send the girl inappropriate messages through a school computer.
A lawyer for Hearn declined comment on the allegations.
Hearn has taught language arts at the high school, and he was a part-time instructor at Columbus State University.
