ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a lockdown has been lifted after a police-involved shooting near a southwest Atlanta elementary school.
Atlanta Police spokesman Sgt. Greg Lyon says officers were responding to a report of a robbery and saw a shootout between multiple people near an apartment complex.
Lyon says several suspects fled on foot and some fled in a car after an officer fired his weapon.
Lyon says the car ran off an embankment and crashed into a business. Three suspects were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and are in stable condition. Lyon says two of the three were being treated for gunshot wounds.
It's unclear if the suspects were shot by police or each other.
Police are searching for the driver of the car and the suspect's identities haven't been released.
