ATLANTA (AP) - A western Georgia Army sergeant has pleaded guilty to stealing personal information from a U.S. Army database.

U.S. District Attorney's officials say 29-year-old Ammie Brothers of Columbus appeared in court Thursday and faces up to five years in prison. Authorities say she admitted to accessing the database multiple times between April 2009 and October 2011.

Officials say investigators found documents containing victims' bank account information, employment history and social security numbers.

Authorities say Brothers harassed the victims by telephone. She was accused of accessing several credit card accounts that belonged to one victim and authorized charges without their knowledge or consent.

Brothers' sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.
