AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Police say a professional motocross driver seriously hurt during a dirt bike stunt in Augusta has no movement in his entire body.
The Augusta Chronicle reports that the accident happened Saturday night at James Brown Arena. The rider, whose name wasn't released, is being treated at Georgia Regents Medical Center.
Richmond County sheriff's Sgt. Monica Belser said the victim was in critical condition with a severe head injury.
Sheriff's officials say a deputy witnessed the accident around 9:15 p.m. Saturday, when the performer attempted a jump. The deputy said the rider appeared to lose control of the motorcycle and struck a ramp.
