ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a man has been arrested after a stabbing in a domestic argument led to a SWAT standoff at an apartment building.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the stabbing victim was in stable condition and no one else was harmed in the confrontation Saturday morning.
Atlanta police spokesman Gregory Lyon says a SWAT team was called to an apartment building at Lindbergh Place after a report that a man had stabbed someone in the chest and then locked himself inside an apartment. Lyon says SWAT officers used tear gas to apprehend the suspect but no gunshots were fired.
Lyon said the stabbing resulted from a domestic argument. Police did not immediately release the names of the suspect and victim.
