SNELLVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police in metro Atlanta say a woman has been arrested after driving a police cruiser into the front of a Home Depot store.
Authorities say the unidentified woman was accused of trying to steal about $90 worth of goods from the Snellville store and was eventually taken into police custody. Authorities say the woman was handcuffed and climbed into the front of a police cruiser before an officer closed the cage and put the car into drive.
The woman pinned an officer between the car and the curb and he was hospitalized with a broken arm. Police Chief Roy Whitehead says officers were trying to get the woman's foot off of the gas pedal.
Several officers subdued the woman and placed her in a paddy wagon.
