Barbara Strange always loves on her fourth-graders.
And she doesn't just teach science. Her students say she's also a great role model.
"Well, she inspired me to, no matter what, you can always follow your dreams," Destiny Neal said.
Neal, a fourth-grade student, was so inspired by Ms. Strange that she wrote a letter submitting her for the My Teacher is Tops award.
"The number one teacher in the world is Ms. Barbara Strange and she is very special because she retired after 37 years and came back to teach us," Neal wrote in the letter.
Strange says her students motivated her.
"They were certainly an inspiration, so there was no way I could say no," Strange comments.
The students I talked to say that they enjoy learning from Ms. Strange and that her lessons are engaging.
"She always teaches a lot, and I enjoy science," Bryce Jackson says.
"She's very sweet and she helps me a lot with my reading," Kain Nuhu says.
"Miss Strange always loves to make everything fun," Tyler Guy says.
For these students, their teacher is tops, and they hope she never leaves.
