Saturday, the Bibb county school district is inviting formal wear shoppers to the first annual Cinderella's Wish List dress sale.

It's a fundraiser for the career, technical and agricultural education program, or C.T.A.E. The program director, Cassandra Miller-Washington, says they collected about 65 dresses in two months to raise money for scholarships for the top students in the program.

"We actually currently give $500 to the district winner, and $250 to the runner-up," said Miller-Washington. "We really want to increase that. We know that the cost of attending college is increasing and we want to move with the times and increase the amount of scholarship that we give to the students."

The dress sale runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Welcome Center annex. That's at the far end of the building on the Hutchings Career Center campus to the right of the school building.
