The Georgia Department of Corrections is looking for a convicted murderer, who failed to return to the Macon Transitional Center after work on Friday.
That's according to Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Kristen Stancil.
Phil Mincey was sentenced to life in prison, after being convicted of murder in Dodge County in 1985.
Capt. Tony Winborn of the Dodge County sheriff's office says Mincey was convicted of killing 39-year-old Mary Ann Peacock Harris in March 1985. She was shot to death with a shotgun outside a home on Old River Road. Winborn had no other details on the case.
