A U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force has caught the man Byron Police say robbed a BB&T bank on Wednesday.
According to a news release, marshals found Christopher Joel Taylor Friday in Nashville, Tennessee. Police say Taylor walked into the BB&T Bank in Byron Tuesday, acted like he was coughing, and covered his mouth with a tissue.
He then passed a note demanding money to the teller, according to Chief Wesley Cannon, but never showed a weapon.
Cannon says tips from the public led to Taylor's arrest. He now faces two charges in the BB&T bank robbery in addition to previous charges in Columbus, Ga., for aggravated assault, the chief says.
Authorities in Nashville say they are holding Taylor until he can be extradited back to Byron.
