A Marine Corporal who lost his legs during a call to duty 2 years ago is enjoying a new home this Father's Day with his wife and son.

The home is equipped to help accomodate his needs, and while that kind of rennovation can often be costly, this project was finished at no expense to the family.

Cpl. Tony Mullis received the keys to his home during a ceremony Saturday.

Congressman Austin Scott, volunteers for Homes for Troops, and other well wishers were there.

Homes for Troops has built and donated 132 homes across the country.

Mullis says his home in Hawkinsville is what he's been searching for since he left active duty.

"When we first come through the door," he told 13WMAZ, "It was just overwhelming that everything is so open, that I can only imagine what kind of mobility that I actually have."

Mullis will also have a fellow Marine for a neighbor.  Homes for Troops has another project in the works right next door.
