Hundreds gathered at Robins Air Force Base's golf course Thursday for a charity golf tournament to benefit the Museum of Aviation.
Pat Bartness, the museum foundation's director says that the event is one of the museum's biggest fundraisers. Without it, he says they would not be able to pay for exhibits, security, and most importantly, he says, education programs, especially STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
Bartness says the museum is still looking for volunteers, especially those with backgrounds in mechanics or working on airplanes, and also people willing to work their front desk. But regardless of availability, he says if you're willing to help, the museum will be able to find something for you.
