Seven Layer Pasta Salads

-8 oz package bow tie pasta (cooked)
-2 avocados, diced tossed with lemon or lime juice to protect color
-2 cups diced deli ham or you can use chicken breast, or tuna
-8 oz of your favorite shredded cheese
-1 small head romaine lettuce tore in pieces or sliced
-2 tomatoes diced
-1 ½ cups of your favorite fresh vegetable diced (I am using fresh green peppers from the garden)

Dressing
-½ cup mayonnaise
-½ cup buttermilk
-¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
-Juice of a lime (use some of this to coat the avocados)
-¼ cup fresh chives or you can substitute finally chopped scallions
-Fresh ground pepper

Assemble the salad starting with the avocados, meat, peppers, pasta mixed with 2T of the dressing, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. If serving right away pour dressing on top of the salad and serve, if not refrigerate the salad and dressing separately for up to 6 hours.
