About a half dozen people wait in line at about 2:45 p.m. to see Blake Shelton perform in Macon Friday night.
Country music superstar Blake Shelton announced Friday that he would perform a free concert at Macon's Whiskey River Nightclub.
At 6 p.m. fans who began lining up hours before were admitted to the club.
The first person in line, April Chambers of Centerville, said she was in line by 1 p.m., even before the show was official. She said she saw that Whiskey River's Facebook mentioned a "special guest" tonight and she guessed correctly that it was Shelton.
Owner Whiskey River Ernie Shepherd says he's known about the show for a month and was able to keep it a secret until today.
Around 1 p.m., Shelton Tweeted: "That's It!!! I have got to do another free country music celebration!!! Macon, Georgia. YOU!!! Whiskey River tonight!!! Be there..."
