Downtown Flash Foods Robbed at Gunpoint

A convenience store near downtown Macon was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Two men, both wearing bandanas across their faces, ran into the Flash Foods Tuesday night around 10 p.m. according to a police news release.

The store is located at 1194 Forsyth Street, up the street from the Medical Center.

One robber jumped over the counter and threatened the clerk with the gun while the other waited at the door.

Afterward, they headed up College Street with the cash.

One suspect is described as 5'9". He had been wearing all black.

The other was described as 6'2", and was wearing a long-sleeved shirt with blue jeans.
