Perry police are seeking information about a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital on Memorial Day.  Perry Police Captain Heath Dykes says the man was stabbed 12 times.

Captain Dykes says those involved were all at a party in Henderson and drove to Perry to drop 35 year old William Taylor off at a family member's home at 913 Jeanne Street.

When they arrived around 1 a.m., one of the women in the car discovered her cell phone was missing. Her boyfriend, Ricky Barrett, confronted Taylor and another male who also was in the car.

Taylor showed a gun to Barrett and the two men got into a physical fight.  Captain Dykes says then several people came out of the house and joined in the fight to break it up. During the fight, Taylor was stabbed 12 times. Barrett did not have a knife.

Investigators questioned all of the witnesses and no one could tell them who actually  stabbed Taylor.  As of Thursday evening, he was in stable condition at the Medical Center in Macon.

Captain Dykes says anyone with information should call Lieutenant Ken Ezell at the Perry police department - 478-988-2821.
