A McDonough man was killed early Tuesday when the truck he was riding in left the road and overturned on Highway 42 near Blount Road in Monroe County.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's office.

Michael Wayne Lindler, 56, was partially ejected from the passenger window of a 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup.

Deputies say the truck was driven by Jonathan Elijah Watson, 46, who was injured in the wreck. The men were not wearing seatbelts.

Watson is being charged with DUI, no seatblet and vehicular homicide. He is still being treated for his injuries at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Lindler's body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy. The crash remains under investigation.
