A Macon driver says he was shot in the neck by two men who carjacked his taxi, then took his personal car.
The Bibb Sheriff's Office is investigating the armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of a Kmart off Tom Hill Senior Boulevard around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say taxi driver 26-year-old Patrick Allen Etchison was working when two armed men jumped into his taxi and demanded money from him.
Etchison said that he told the men he did not have any money but would let them use his personal car if they wouldn't hurt him.
Etchison said the two men then had him drive them to a church in South Bibb County, where he handed over the keys to his Mitsubishi Eclipse.
They went to Kumho Parkway where the two men told Etchison to show them how to use the head lights. Then one shot him in the neck and the other hit him in the head with a gun.
Etchison walked home, called 911 and was taken to the Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
The men drove away in the Eclipse.
The vehicle is a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, black in color, and it has a rear spoiler with a Georgia tag that displayed PIG4736.
Etchison said that both men were wearing all black clothing and gloves and one had on a white mask while the other was wearing an orange bandanna over his face.
