Bibb County Magistrate Judge Cedric Leslie denied bond for accused killer Brandon Davis on Thursday.

Davis was arrested earlier this month and charged in the murder of his girlfriend, Chassity Lester.

According to the arrest warrant, Lester was pregnant and Davis was described as "extremely jealous."

The pair have a 3-year-old boy together.

During Thursday's hearing, prosecutors said a man who knew both Davis and Lester spoke about jealousy being the motive.

Investigators reported hearing from several people who said Davis told them about Lester's death before friends and family were aware of it.

"He made statements to friends and family concerning the death of this woman before the friends and family even knew about it," Leslie said in court. "I think we'll wait until the Superior Court because I think that is enough for probable cause."

The warrant also says Davis made calls from Lester's cell phone after her body was found.

After Leslie denied bond for Davis, he turned the case over to Bibb Court Superior court for a possible indictment.

Police believe Lester was killed at a house on the 3000 block of Flamingo Drive in South Macon and later dumped in a wooded area off of Fairgrounds Road in North Houston County.
