One year ago, 40-year-old Yvonne Jackson was found dead in her Patterson Street apartment.
Firefighters were called to the home on March 30th, 2012 around 10 in the morning and after putting out the flames, found Jackson's body. She had been shot in the head, and police believe her killer set the apartment on fire.
FROM 2012: "Family Walks to Remember Life of Loved One"
A year later, Macon Police say they have been unable to find Jackson's killer, and are seeking help from the public for any information.
"The biggest thing is we haven't stopped working on this case," says lead detective Alex Rozier. "We're not going to stop working it. But we are asking for the public's help in this case."
Jackson's ex-husband, Adrian, and their three children, Joshua, Adrien, and Ciara say they're hoping someone will come forward.
"We still love, and we still miss Yvonne. We miss her daily, we miss her forever," says Adrian. "And you cowards out there who did it, it's just a matter of time."
In the meantime, the family says not a day goes they don't think about their mom. "Her voice, how she sang, and how she was loving towards us," said son Joshua. "She always smiled, just to smile," said her daughter Ciara.
Macon Police are offering a $1,000 reward from Crimestoppers as well as a $10,000 reward for the arson. In addition, the Jackson family says they will offer their own reward. Anyone with information about Yvonne Jackson's death can call Macon Region Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
