12 Bibb Students Charged in Separate Incidents

Twelve Bibb County students have been charged for a variety of incidents, according to a news release.

At Hutchings Career Center, a 16-year-old male was charged with simple battery on a school official after he allegedly shoved a teacher last Thursday.

On Monday, a fight broke out and two juvenile Hutchings male students were charged with affray and disruption of a public school. 

A Westside High 17-year-old male student was charged with possession of marijuana on a state court citation. After a tip from a teacher, a 16-year-old male student was then also charged with Possession of Marijuana after the two were allegedly found in possession Thursday.

A different Westside High student was charged Monday with theft by taking after a netbook computer was stolen from a classroom. Video surveillance and witness statements identified the 15-year-old student as the alleged culprit.

Tuesday, a Bloomfield Middle School student was charged after he allegedly hit another student trying to start a fight.

Also on Tuesday, an 11-year-old at Howard Middle student was charged with weapon possession. He was allegedly found with a lock blade knife after he showed peers the knife.

A Howard High student was charged Tuesday after allegedly instigating a fight.
