Also...tonight... in North Macon, police investigating what spokeswoman Melanie Hofmann called...the remnants of a suspected meth lab.
Hofman told us tonight... The officers were serving a warrant at a house on Shadow Moss Drive.
When they discovered something suspicious ... They blocked off part of the street... Calling the investigation a, quote "delicate" situation.

The mother of a young woman... A Johnson County deputy... Shot to death over the weekend...told 13WMAZ she mourns not only for her daughter...but for the family of the man charged with her murder.
That's 21 year old Davoris Hodges...(DAY-VOH-REE)..who was arrested and booked into the Laurens County jail.
He also faces an armed robbery charge.
Friday night...23-year-old Khristal Wright was shot to death. Her body.... found on a road in Laurens County.
She was a Johnson County school resource officer...but the GBI says...investigators don't believe the shooting to be in any way related to her work.
Wright's mother says she and the suspect's mother....are good friends.

The Laurens County sheriff's office and GBI are both investigating the shooting.
Two teens tonight...sit in jail in the Jacksonville area... charged with the murder of a baby, shot to death in his stroller.
Michelle Quesada with our Gannett Sister Station in Jacksonville...was in court today. Earlier last week, Elkins' aunt says the boy was with her at 8 in the morning when this all happened, his attorney says he does not know if an alibi defense will hold up in the state of Georgia, however he says he is confident his client is not guilty.
Neither teen has a bond set.
