A familiar face at the Bibb Skate Arena off Hawkinsville Road will no longer be there. Mike Skelly, better known was Mister Mike co-owns the Bibb Skate Arena and is getting ready to retire.
Skelly sold the rink to new owners who will take over March 18th. Skelly has made few changes to the skating rink since 1962, choosing to keep with tradition and the feel of the disco era. That's something Laura Mcelmurray (mack-el-mur-ee) loves about the the arena.
"Laura MceLmurray, Lizella: "I learned how to skate here and all three of my children did and my family did. my mother, mother in law, they all come here."
Skelly says the owners will keep the skating rink a family oriented center.

One Macon woman is in jail after police say she shot and killed a fifty year old man on Cedar Street Friday night.
Police Spokeswoman Jami Gaudet says 52-year old Jennifer Delores Washington was arrested and charged with Felony murder after shooting and killing Kenneth Cray just before eight Friday night.

One man is in the Houston County jail after leading police on a four hour man hunt Friday night.
According to a press release from the Houston County sheriff's office, 21-year old Justin Babtunde kidnapped a two year old child during a custody exchange.
Babtunde fled into the woods and members of the Houston County Special Response Team found him four hours later at at house in the Mossy Oaks subdivision.
The child was unharmed.
Babtunde is charged with kidnapping and other related charges and is being held without bail.

Hundreds of barbecue enthusiasts made their way to Perry for this year's Pig and Wings Barbecue competition.
The competition is operated by the Georgia Barbecue Association.
The association brought in over 100 judges to choose the barbecue champion.
Each team competes in 3 categories... leaving 9 people to go on to the final round.
President of the Georgia Barbecue Association, Harry Faircloth says more than 43 teams set up shop on Friday night.
Each one looking to showcase their skills at cooking pork tenderloin, shoulders and ribs.
Harry Faircloth, Georgia BBQ Association: "It's been a brutal night here. The weather has been terrible and this shows what real barbecuers are all about. If they can weather this, they can weather anything."
Audrey Evans, Pigs and Wings Barbecue Competition: "It's a lot of hard work, time and money for them to do it but it's a great time for everybody."
The competition offers over 12 thousand dollars in prizes.
The Georgia Barbecue grand champion wins one thousand dollars.

Here's a side of Mercury you've probably never seen -- in living color!
NASA and Johns Hopkins University's applied physics department released this false-color image of the planet closest to the sun.
This isn't what Mercury would look like to the naked eye.
Instead, astronomers say it illustrates the many different chemicals and minerals that make up the scorchingly-hot planet.
