Good evening or early morning and Thanks for joining us for this late edition of Eyewitness News at Eleven.
I'm Jennifer Moulliet.

Our top story tonight... the Baltimore Ravens pulled out a close win in Super bowl 47.

Courtney Lyle joins us now with more. The game started out all Ravens in the first half... But... Then a poweroutage stopped play for over half-an-hour.

Teresa Garcia is at the Superdome with the latest.

The Super Bowl came to a sudden stop shortly after halftime when some of the lights went out at the Superdome.

( NAT SOT ANNOUNCER) HALF THE POWER IN NEW ORLEANS STADIUM IS OUT

For more than a half an hour the players from the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49-ers tried to stay loose on the field.
The press box and stadium walkways were plunged into darkness.
Justin Miller/FAN: "IT'S NOTHING NEW BUT A LITTLE STRANGE AT THE SUPER BOWL."

Fans took the delay in stride.

FAN - NO NAME: "IT IS WHAT IT IS I'M HAVING A GREAT TIME."
TERESA GARCIA: "THE CROWD WENT WILD - AS SOON AS THE POWER WAS BACK ON AND THE GAME RESTARTED."

The extended time-out gave the 49-ers a surge of energy.

But, ,the Ravens held on to win super bowl 47.

More than 76-thousand fans packed the Super Dome to see the game and the big-name entertainers.

Jennifer Hudson sang "America the beautiful" with the Sandy Hook Elementary School chorus.

And - Beyonce's halftime show featured a special reunion. Her former girl group Destiny's child joined her one stage.

Following a lip-synching controversy last month - Beyonce said she would sing live - and fans here thought she did.

Vivian Okorie: "SHE WAS SINGING LIVE . I MEAN FROM HER HERAT. I COULD FEEL IT."

And in a town known for its partying - it's time for the Ravens to continue the celebration.

Jennifer: The company that supplies power to the Superdome says electricity was flowing to the stadium when the lights went out.
But... they are investigating what went wrong and say it may have been a malfunction with equipment at the Superdome.

There's was a different kind of Super Bowl downtown...the Super Bowl of Hymns Festival at the Mulberry United Methodist Church.

The Macon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists kicked off Super Bowl Sunday with a celebration of their own.

The Midtown Brass Quintet from Atlanta and Mercer University singers put on a musical show filled with church songs.

This ten year tradition is still going strong.

Harry Eskew/ Historian: "It happened to be on the same sunday as the super bowl. Some people thought it would be a disadvantage but it turned out to be an advantaged because we are usually done by 4 and the super bowl doesn't come on until the evening."

David Keith/ Conductor: "The hymns are god's word to us through music and when people express that they have a better understanding of what that is."

This is the church's biggest event of the year bringing in about 500 to 600 people.

Superbowl and chicken wings go hand in hand but this year there might not be enough to go around.

That's because there's been a surge in wing prices.

But it doesn't seem to slow down local hot spot FranCar's Buffalo Wings off Linden Ave.

"Superbowl Sunday. We start getting ready about a week out and then of course how many wings we're going to need."

"About 22 cases for the weekend that's a lot. That's a good day."

"Five years ago you can watch the progress as the prices went up. We don't pass that cost on to the customers, we eat that cost."

"We've seen that the orders have gone down though....they may just order 60, 80 or just 100."

"I love it. It's a beautiful day."

This year, you're paying an average price of $1.86 a pound.

Two years ago, you could get them for almost a dollar or less.

This weekend alone the National Chicken Council says 1.23 billion wing segments -- that means the drums and other flat pieces -- will be consumed at restaurants and Super bowl parties.

Before we go to John for a look at our weather.

Take a look at this! It's North Georgia and snow. Looks pretty but it's not something we need to worry about because we won't be getting any here right John.

A noted Macon poet, musician and solider celebrates his 171st birthday today. The party started at a cottage in the historic downtown area.

"If it were beside me, I can look west and east. Eventually unable to distinguish Ft Worth from Memphis."

About 60 came to remember the poet at the Sidney Lanier Cottage off High St.

Fellow poet, Ward Abel recited written works and played music to commemorate Lanier.

Ward Abe/ Poet: " I will be reciting some Marshes of Glenn, one entitled Corn which is a famous one and a couple of smaller ones which will be off the beaten track a little bit."

You can visit the Sidney Lanier Cottage Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

An overturned tour bus crash east of Los Angeles killed multiple people today.

There's no word yet on what caused the fatal crash.

The standoff between police and a man accused of murdering a school bus driver, and kidnapping a 5 year old boy is now in its sixth day.

The bus driver, Charles Poland was laid to rest Sunday.
Marlie Hall has the latest from Midland City, Alabama.

The flag-draped coffin carrying 66 year old school bus driver Charles Poland was wheeled into the Ozark Civic Center where his family and friends gathered to say goodbye.

Poland was shot several times, and killed before a gunman abducted a 5 year old boy from his bus. The suspect Jimmy Lee Dykes has been holding the boy captive in an underground bunker since Tuesday.

A procession of school buses escorted Poland to his final resting place.

The school superintendent read letters from children who used to ride Poland's bus.

Donny Bynum/Dale County School Superintendent: "I'm going to miss seeing your smiling happy face every day from now on
Poland was also a Sunday school teacher. A cousin told me Poland and his wife loved being around children."

Donnie Senn/Poland's Relative: "They always loved kids, and he always did, so it's not surprising that he did what he did."
Marlie Hall/CBS News: "After Poland was laid to rest, people gathered in Midland City for a prayer vigil. They've been coming here everynight hoping the standoff will end peacefully, and soon."

The FBI says they still have an open line of communication with Dykes. They continue to speak to him through a ventilation pipe. On Sunday, they used the pipe to deliver items that the boy requested including Cheez-Its , and Red Hot Wheels cars.

Investigators say Dykes is making the boy as comfortable as possible. They have not said if Dykes is making any demands.
Dykes was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War but Neighbors describe him as a hostile loner.

The kidnapped boy has a disorder similar to autism.

On Super Bowl Sunday there's a bigger draw than football for pet lovers.
Animal Planet's 9th annual Puppy Bowl had the most lovable line-up on TV. It's billed as the "ruffest" game on four legs.
These cute puppies basically play with chew toys until one happens to cross into the end zone.
The Puppy Bowl is a really big draw for the cable network and it's pretty easy to see why.
There is a winner. An M-V-P is chosen every year.

That is the show for tonight. We'll see you back here at 5 for Eyewitness News Mornin
