Good evening and thanks for joining us for a late edition of eyewitness news at six, I'm Jennifer Moulliet.

 

A section of Russell Parkway in Warner Robins was closed for a couple of hours this afternoon because of a traffic accident with injuries.
According to the Warner Robins police department... 2004 Ford Ranger turned left onto Russell parkway and collided with a 2006 Chevy Tahoe
Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the Ford Ranger and are listed in critical condition at the Medical Center.
The driver of the Tahoe was also taken to the hospital.
The collision happened near the 9-hundred block of Russell... That's near the ford dealership.
Police ask anyone with more information about this incident to call investigator Tim Pippio at 478-929-1170.

 

A teenager died in South Bibb County Friday night after a car hit him.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's office, 15 year old Jose Bravo was crossing the southbound lanes of Hawkinsville Road, just south of Walden Road around eight o clock.
An ambulance took him to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead about an hour later.
The Sheriff's office says they will release more information later on.

 

GBI agents have now joined the investigation into the death of Valdosta State University student... Jasmine Benjamin.
Police say the 17-year-old's body was found on a couch in a campus dorm Sunday.
Detectives say she may have been dead for several hours before anyone called 9-1-1 because classmates initially thought she was just sleeping.
Police say evidence uncovered during the autopsy strongly suggests her death was a homicide.
Benjamin's family says they just want answers.
"We pray that someone with some type of answers comes out and says what happened we want to find out who did this not next year not three years from now we want to know now this family needs closure."
Jasmine's family says she was studying to be a nurse.

 

Actor Larry Hagman, who is best known for playing J-R Ewing on the long-running 80s T-V show "Dallas" has died.
CBS's Manuel Bojorquez takes a look back at his life.
It was one of the most famous moments in television history.
The world asked "who shot j-r?" and this morning.. .the world mourns the loss of the actor who played j-r ewing in the hit c-b-s show "dallas." Larry Hagman has died at the age of 81.
Hagman rose to fame as good-natured astronaut, major anothony nelson in the '60s t-v show... "i dream of jeannie."
Hagman came from a show business family.
His mother was broadway star Mary Martin. She gave birth to larry when she was only 17. She divorced his father and left larry behind in texas to pursue her acting career. Martin was most famous for her role as Peter Pan.
Hagman was candid about his personal life acknowledging years of heavy drinking that so damaged his liver he eventually neeeded a transplant. After many years of smoking, Hagman quit and became an anti-smoking advocate. Recently he acknowledged that his wife of nearly six decades has alzheimer's disease and he was battling throat cancer.
But Hagman's spirit never faultered. Earlier this year, Dallas was revived as a new series on another network. In an appearance on CBS this morning in June of this year Hagman told Jeff Glor what he thought about returning to television as the villan that everyone loved to hate?
Larry when they first came to you and said listen we want to reboot this, what did you think? Yahoo! wow... there you go.
Dallas ran on CBS from 1979-to-1991. His role as J-R Ewing, the slippery oil man, made him a cultural icon and a symbol of 1980s american excess. Hagman said he loved playing j-r because he could get away with anything.... but acknowledged that he couldn't get away with cancer. hagman moved back to dallas for the show's revival. He died on Friday in the city that was synonoymous with his success.
Larry Hagman is survived by his wife of 59 years, two children and five grandchildren.

 

 

We all know that this is a big shopping weekend for many across the country with Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
But how about Small Business Saturday.
The idea behind it is to encourage people to shop small and support local businesses during one of the nation's biggest shopping weekend.
American Express is offering a one-time 25 dollars back to card users that spend 25 dollars or more at small businesses today.
13WMAZ went to two local businesses to find out what makes them different.
Grace Anderson, Co-owner Ginger Michelle: "Small businesses are kind of like what makes each town unique cause not everybody has a ginger michelle so um I defintely think it's good to support small businesses and keep them in business."
Amanda Meadows, Amanda's Cakery: "I think having a small business saturday is helpful to kind of let people who want to support small businesses give back to them on that day, but we want it all year round."
This is the third year that there has been a small business Saturday event across the country and it's always after Black Friday.

 

 

Nearly 500 bikers gathered in Byron to raise money and lift the spirits of unfortunate children for the holidays.
The bikers also celebrated the memory of their friend Delmar Singleton, who was killed in an accident last week.
Videojournalist Claudia Taylor was there to witness the toy run that Singleton once devoted his time to.
Funeral Services for Delmar Singleton will be tomorrow at Macon City Auditorium.
Members of the ABATE club say donations can be made to the Georgia Industrial Children's Home.
