Five people are dead, including two Americans after a gun fight broke out in Eastern Afghanistan Saturday.
One of those killed was an American Soldier.
That brings the total of American servicemen and women killed in Afghanistan to two-thousand.

THERE WAS A REPORT OF INSURGENT FIRING TAKING PLACE IN THIS INCIDENT WHICH WAS WE BELIEVE MAY HAVE BEEN A FACTOR"

NATO did not say whether this was another in a series of insider attacks where Afghan security forces turned on coalition troops.
The so called "green on blue attacks" have left at least 52 international forces dead this year.
The US commander in Afghanistan told 60 Minutes ' Laura Logan he is angry some Afghan troops have turned on the Americans who trained them .

(--SOT--GEN. JOHN ALLEN-US/NATO COMMANDER--)

"I AM MAD AS HELL ABOUT THEM TO BE HONEST WITH YOU"
"WE ARE WILLING TO SACRIFICE A LOT FOR THIS CAMPAIGN, BUT WE ARE NOT WILLING TO BE MURDERED FOR IT."

The attacks also frustrate Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai.

Bibb County schools' plan to teach every child Mandarin Chinese landed in the national spotlight tonight.
Earlier on the CBS Evening News... Mark Strassmann sat down with Superintendent Romain Dallemand... to talk that part of the Macon Miracle strategic plan.
The Mandarin initiative drew many questions and objection from the community... But after the national attention tonight, we reached out on facebook to see how central georgians feel about it.
Vickie Horton says: "I've heard "differing opinions" but nothing proven "wrong" with the Macon Miracle thus far.
Keep up the good work Dr. Dallemand of bringing change to the school system."
But Eric Underwood says "This is sad. Many of these children can't even speak proper, or even conversational English..."

Many changes are rolling in with the change in temperatures-- including what you can and can't burn outside.
Starting tomorrow, the rules ease up for burning in 54 counties including Bibb, Houston, Jones and Monroe.
Frank Sorrells, Chief of Protection for the Georgia Forestry commission says the Environmental Protection Department puts the ban in place each May to help people breathe easier in some of the most populated counties.
<usually the air quality in that area in the summer time causes sometimes a problem in that area so we're trying to do our part by not issuing any burn permits for any outdoor burning during those months and October 1 ends that, lifting that ban issuing permits to do outdoor burning.>
Sorrells says even though the E-P-D ban is lifted, people will still need to get permits to set fires outside.
The Forestry Commission decides each day whether to issue permits based on the day's weather.

Welcome back
It was the hottest social network online--- until suddenly-- it wasn't.
But this week, MySpace teased a sleek new version of the site that they hope will win back users.
Karin Caifa (prono: KAY-fuh) gets insight from experts and social media fans, in this week's Clicked In.
SOMETIME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAST DECADE MYSPACE WENT FROM HOT PROPERTY TO HOT MESS.
MySpace is kinda like creepy. It's like high school party that you as a freshmen in college, show up at.
THE STIGMA OF THE OLD MYSPACE. A SILICON VALLEY PUNCHLINE, IF TODAY'S SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REMEMBER IT AT ALL.
BUT BACKED BY INVESTOR JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, THE SITE JUST UNVEILED A SNEAK PREVIEW OF A SOON-TO-BE REVAMPED SITE.
MUSIC SHARING AND ARTISTS APPEAR TO BE FEATURED PROMINENTLY. AND GIZMODO'S SAM BIDDLE SAYS THE CLEAN, SLEEK OPTICS, ARE A POSITIVE STEP.
I think one of the reasons that people detested the old MySpace so much was that it was a cluttered mess. It looked horrible. It represented everything bad about the way internet used to look. And this looks, about as good as anything you'll find today .
AT ITS PEAK, MYSPACE HAD ABOUT 100 MILLION USERS.
FACEBOOK TODAY, IS CLOSING IN ON ONE BILLION, A GIANT EVEN OTHER GIANTS LIKE GOOGLE HAVE FOUND IT TOUGH TO CHALLENGE.
BUT THE GOAL OF THE NEW MYSPACE MAY NOT BE TO BE ANOTHER FACEBOOK. FINDING A NICHE LIKE PINTEREST HAS DONE WITH IMAGES, MAY BE THE KEY.
Pinterest has offered something that Facebook hasn't even attempted yet, and that's why it's blown up so much.
WITH TIMBERLAKE, MY SPACE CERTAINLY HAS ANOTHER DOSE OF NAME RECOGNITION BEHIND IT.
I guess after all these new, new ways that everyone's using to communicating now, it might work or it might not. They really have to bring their game for it to work.

The current social media leader is also making changes-- Facebook is trying to weed out fake accounts.
The company is deleting accounts and likes that have been sold... or acquired through other shady means.
Facebeek says it wants real people interacting with brands they're genuinely interested in.
The purge is cutting the number of likes on popular fan pages.
For example Zynga's Texas Hold 'Em Poker page has lost nearly 200-thousand likes-- And Lady Gaga's likes dropped by about 66-thousand.
Facebook also rolled out its new Gifts feature to some users this week.
It lets them buy a real gift... and post it on a friend's wall.
The recipient can unwrap a preview of the gift and change size... flavor or style before it ships.
The feature will roll out gradually across the U-S.

Everyday... you trust that the things you bring into your home are safe for you and your family.
but when those products don't work the way they should... the company issues a recall to protect you.
A-D-S Inc is recalling a swing seat imported from a Taiwanese company.
A-D-S says about 63 of the plastic swings can break while being used-- there've been 2 reported incidents, but no injuries.
The swings being recalled have dates stamped on the bottom from May 18 2012 to June 25 2012.
They were sold on Swing Set Mall and play set parts dot-com for about 15 dollars.

With Halloween coming up, watch out for these toy guns recalled by Dillon Importing Company.
Almost 7-thousand Captain Cutlass Toy pirate pistols have paint that contains lead in excess of the federal standard.
No injuries have been reported yet.
The toy guns were sold at Halloween and specialty stores around the country from April 2008 to May this year for about 6-dollars 50-cents.
For more information, call Dillon importing at 800-654-3696.
And finally, Big Lots is recalling almost 7-thousand Garden swings due to a fall hazard.
The company says the wood seats of the Wilson and Fisher Garden swings can break while in use.
There've been 14 reported incidents-- 9 injuries ranging from back pain to scratches.
The swings were sold at big lot stores nationwide form March through june this year for 130-dollars.
