This case is far from over. IT could take years to play out in court - with penn state officials still facing criminal charges, pending civil lawsuits, and on-going investigations.
PENN STATE RELEASED A STATEMENT--SAYING IT WILL PRIVATELY AND FAIRLY ADDRESS THE VICTIMS CONCERNS AND COMPENSATE THEM.
A JUROR SAID THE ACCUSERS WERE ALL CREDIBLE -- AND SANDUSKY'S LACK OF REACTION TO THE VERDICTS MADE JURORS REALIZE THEY'RE DECISION WAS THE RIGHT ONE.
THE FAMILY OF THE LATE JOE PATERNO -- THE FAMED COACH WHO WAS FIRED IN THE SCANDAL... ISSUED A STATEMENT SAYING..... "OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS CONTINUE TO BE WITH THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES. "

GOOD NEWS FOR COLLEGE KIDS WITH STUDENT LOANS.
MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ARE CLOSING IN ON AN AGREEMENT THAT WOULD STOP INTEREST RATES ON FEDERAL LOANS FROM DOUBLING ON JULY FIRST.
SENATE AIDES SAY BOTH PARTIES WANT TO STRIKE A DEAL THAT WOULD PAY THE MEASURE'S 6 BILLION DOLLAR PRICE TAG.
DURING A SPEECH TO COLLEGE STUDENTS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. THIS WEEK.... PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF PASSING THE BILL.
We've been talking about it now for a long time, if Congress does not get this done in a week the average student with federal student loans will rack up an additional thousand dollars in debt over the coming year. If Congress fails to act more than 7 million students will suddenly be hit with the equivalent of a thousand dollar tax hike. And that's not something you can afford right now.
OFFICIALS SAY THE GOAL IS TO PUSH THE BILL THROUGH CONGRESS NEXT WEEK... SO THE CURRENT INTEREST RATE OF 3 POINT 4 PERCENT WILL REMAIN FOR ANOTHER YEAR.

YOU MAY KNOW DUBLIN AS THE EMERALD CITY...BUT YOU MIGHT START CALLING IT A *GREEN* ONE.
AS AUSTIN LEWIS REPORTS... THE CITY HAS STARTED PUTTING UP SOLAR PANEL STREET LIGHTS NEAR THE CITY'S DOWNTOWN DISTRICT... ALL THANKS TO SOME FEDERAL FUNDS.
IF YOU LOOK DOWN SOUTH JEFFERSON STREET IN DUBLIN...YOU'LL SEE NEW STREET LIGHTS.
THE LAMPS ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT...BUT WHAT'S ON TOP IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE OFTEN.
Tim Lake, T. Lake Environmental Design: This is the first transportation corridor that has solar lighting in the state of Georgia so it's just very exciting for us, first to have a solar industry in Dublin, now to have the first state roadway lit by solar lighting.
THESE ARE SOME OF THE FIRST OF 34 STREET LIGHTS GOING UP IN DUBLIN.
Tim Lake, T. Lake Environmental Design: Sunlight is free, we're harnessing that, we feel great about doing that.
THE SOLAR PANELS ON THESE LAMPS ABSORB ENERGY FROM THE SUN DURING THE DAY....AND THAT ENERGY GOES INTO BATTERIES UNDER THE POST.
THE ENERGY ABSORBED...WILL THEN POWER IT AT NIGHT.
Tim Lake, T. Lake Environmental Design: it can run for five days. If we threw a blanket over this thing and covered it up we'd have five days of storage capacity.
TIM LAKE OF T-LAKE ENVIRONMENTAL SAYS ONE SOLAR STREET LIGHT COST ABOUT 11-THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION .
HE SAYS THE AVERAGE STREET LIGHT COSTS ABOUT 76-HUNDRED DOLLARS AND THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE A MONTHLY LEASING FEE AND ENERGY COSTS THAT WOULD GO TO THE ELECTRIC COMPANY.
LAKE SAYS BECAUSE THESE LIGHTS ARE POWERED BY THE SUN....IT WILL END UP SAVING ABOUT 500 DOLLARS A MONTH IN ENERGY COSTS TO THE TAXPAYER.
Tim Lake, T. Lake Environmental Design: The first is return on investment happens very quickly, 3.7 months for the city to get a return on investment on these lamps. And the energy costs alone will save about 15 dollars per fixture
THESE STREETLIGHTS CAPTURE MORE THAN SUN..
Tim Lake, T. Lake Environmental Design: it's a huge honor to have it here in the Emerald City because we're already green and growing but to have this happen with Mage here as a partner already bringing jobs, we've come full circle.
LAKE SAYS THEY HOPE THAT THEY'LL SEE MORE GREEN STREET LIGHTS ON OTHER STREETS IN GEORGIA SOON.
AUSTIN LEWIS 13WMAZ EYEWITNESS NEWS.
24 OF THOSE LIGHTS WILL BE ON SOUTH JEFFERSON STREET...AND 10 OF THEM WILL BE ON BELLEVIEW.
