A BOMBSHELL TONIGHT IN THE CHILD MOLESTATION TRIAL OF JERRY SANDUSKY..
AS JURORS WRAPPED UP THEIR FIRST DAY OF DELIBERATIONS.... ONE OF SANDUSKY'S ADOPTED SONS ADDED TO THE FORMER COACH'S TROUBLES..
MANUEL GALLEGUS REPORTS FROM BELLEFONTE, PENNSYLVANIA.
<<just as jurors began deliberating the jerry sandusky case comes a startling revelation from one of his own sons.

through his attorney ... matt sandusky said he met with prosecutors this week to say for the first time he was molested by his own father.

matt is now 33-and was adopted by jerry and his wife dottie as an adult after living with them as a foster child.

he was reportedly prepared to testify -but it's unclear why he was never called as a prosecution witness.

-stand-up-manuel gallegus, cbs news bellefonte pennsylvania
"the news about sandusky's son was not presented in court and so the jurors don't know anything about it. they're sequestered in a local hotel with no phone or tv."

earlier the jurors heard the defense and prosecution sum up their cases.

defense attorney joe amendola passionately portrayed sandusky as the victim of overzealous investigators, greedy accusers, and a legal system that convicted him before his arrest.

but prosecutor joe mcgettigan called the 68 -year-old a serial predatory pedophile--

he finished his argument standing directly behind sandusky telling jurors
``he molested and abused and hurt these children horribly,'' ``he knows he did it, and you know he did it.
``find him guilty of everything.">>

SANDUSKY IS CHARGED WITH 48 COUNTS OF CHILD MOLESTATION...IF CONVICTED..HE COULD SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISON.

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A WEEK... WARNER ROBINS CITY COUNCIL PUT OFF A VOTE ON NEXT YEAR'S BUDGET.
THIS TIME... IT WAS DUE TO A TYPO.
COUNCIL MEMBERS NOTICED THAT THE TOTAL BUDGET FIGURE WAS LISTED CORRECTLY IN ONE PART OF THE MAYOR'S BUDGET PRESENTATION... BUT WAS WRONG IN ANOTHER.
THE CORRECT FIGURE FOR THE PROPOSED BUDGET.... IS 35-POINT-SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS.
EARLIER THIS WEEK...  COUNCIL MEMBERS EXPRESSED CONCERN ABOUT A NEW PUBLIC RELATIONS POSITION.
THE NEW HIRE WOULD COME WITH A 43-THOUSAND DOLLAR PRICE TAG.
TONIGHT THEY PROPOSED TO GIVE THE PUBLIC RELATIONS DUTIES TO A CURRENT EMPLOYEE... AND INCREASE THEIR SALARY BY 15-THOUSAND DOLLARS INSTEAD.
I'm gonna try it this way for a year, you know, I've given this council everything they've asked for. They wanted this, they waned that, take this out, take that out. All I wanted was for someone to have experience in journalism to disseminate information, but they didn't want to do it.
CITY COUNCIL WILL HOLD ANOTHER CALLED MEETING NEXT THURSDAY AT FOUR O'CLOCK FOR A VOTE.
STATE LAW REQUIRES THEM TO PASS A BUDGET BY JULY FIRST.
