HELLO EVERYONE AND THANKS FOR JOINING US.... I'M LEAH JOHNSON..
FRANK MALLOY HAS THE NIGHT OFF.

A MAN CHARGED WITH KILLING A BIBB COUNTY DEPUTY DURING A DRUG RAID MORE THAN SIX YEARS AGO.... PLANS TO PLEAD GUILTY FRIDAY.
THAT'S ACCORDING TO A PROSECUTOR FAMILIAR WITH THE CASE.
ANTRON FAIR.. ONE OF THE FOUR MEN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN THE 20-06 SHOOTING DEATH OF JOSEPH WHITEHEAD.. IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN SUPERIOR COURT AT 1 P.M. FRIDAY.
A PROSECUTOR TOLD 13WMAZ'S RANDALL SAVAGE THAT FAIR AGREED TO PLEAD GUILTY TO MURDERING WHITE HEAD..... IN EXCHANGE FOR BIBB COUNTY D-A GREG WINTERS DROPPING HIS REQUEST FOR THE DEATH PENALTY.
FAIR ALSO AGREED TO TESTIFY AGAINST HIS CO-DEFENDENT DAMON JOLLY WHEN HIS MURDER CASE GOES TO TRIAL THIS FALL.
THE PROSECUTOR WE SPOKE WITH SAYS FAIR WILL BE SENTENCED TO LIFE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE.
WINTERS HIMSELF CONFIRMED IN A TEXT MESSAGE THAT HE EXPECTS A PLEA ON FRIDAY...BUT WOULD NOT COMMENT FURTHER.
FAIR'S LAWYER.... BRIAN STEELE... DID NOT RETURN OUR PHONE CALL.
LORRA LYNCH JONES WALKS US THROUGH THE CASE'S TIMELINE.
FRIDAY'S EXPECTED PLEA DEAL COULD PUT AN END TO AT LEAST PART OF THE WHITEHEAD CASE... THAT'S DRAGGED ON FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS.
(bullet) IT BEGAN IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF MARCH 23RD 2006.
(video comes out) WHEN A BIBB COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE USED A NO-KNOCK WARRANT TO FORCE ITS WAY INTO A HOUSE ON ATHERTON STREET.
SHOTS FIRED INSIDE THE HOUSE KILLED DEPUTY JOSEPH WHITEHEAD.
THAT SAME DAY... POLICE ARRESTED FIVE PEOPLE... ANTRON FAIR... DAMON JOLLEY... THOMAS PORTER JUNIOR... CYNTHIA GREEN AND HASSAN HARCLERODE.
THE FUNERAL... HELD AT THE MACON CITY AUDITORIUM... BROUGHT LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM ALL OVER THE STATE IN A SHOW OF SUPPORT FOR WHITEHEAD.
(on cam)
(bullet- april 2006) TWO WEEKS LATER... THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY CHARGED ALL FIVE SUSPECTS WITH MURDER... SAYING THEY WOULD SEEK THE DEATH PENALTY FOR FAIR AND JOLLY... (video) WHO BOTH ALLEGEDLY FIRED SHOTS WHEN DEPUTIES ENTERED THE ATHERTON STREET HOME.
CHARGES WERE LATER DROPPED AGAINST CYNTIA GREEN.
(bullet) IN APRIL 2008... FAIR AND JOLLY'S ATTORNEY'S APPEALED PRE-TRIAL RULINGS IN THE CASE TO THE GEORGIA SUPREME COURT... BUT IN JUNE THE COURT CLEARED THEM FOR TRIAL.
(bullet) IN THE FALL... THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY REINDICTED THE MURDER CASE'S AGAINST FAIR... JOLLY.. HARCLERODE AND PORTER... ADDING DRUG AND FIREARMS CHARGES.
(bullet) 2009... BROUGHT A SERIES OF CHANGES TO FAIR AND JOLLY'S LEGAL TEAM.
(bullet) THEN IN JUNE 2010... DEFENSE ATTORNEYS TOOK THEIR CASES TO THE GEORGIA SUPREME COURT FOR A SECOND TIME. AGAIN... JUSTICES CLEARED THEM FOR TRIAL.
(video) DURING THE YEARS OF DELAYS... WHITEHEAD'S WIDOW.. FAMILY AND FRIENDS CONTINUED TO HOLD ANNUAL MEMORIAL'S IN HIS REMEBERANCE.
(bullet) A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE 6TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH... BIBB JUDGE TRIPP SELF SET A NOVEMBER 25TH TRIAL DATE FOR DAMON JOLLY.
HE MOVED THE TRIAL OUT OF BIBB COUNTY TO CHATHAM COUNTY... WHICH IS SAVANNAH.
FAIR AND JOLLY HAVE BEEN HELD IN THE BIBB COUNTY JAIL... SINCE THEIR 2006 ARRESTS.
PROSECUTORS INTEND TO HANDLE THEIR CASES FIRST... BEFORE THOSE OF HARCLERODE AND PORTER... WHO DO NOT FACE THE DEATH PENALTY.

TOMORROW.. A STATE ETHICS BOARD IS SCHEDULED TO CONSIDER A COMPLAINT THAT SAYS BIBB COUNTY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT ROMAIN DALLEMAND FALSIFIED PART OF HIS RESUME.
LOCAL ACTIVIST DAREN LATCH PRODUCED OTHER DOCUMENTS THAT HE SAYS PROVES DALLEMAND NEVER SERVED AS A MENTAL THERAPIST.
WHEN HE APPLIED FOR THE BIBB COUNTY TOP JOB TWO YEARS AGO.... DALLEMAND'S RESUME SAID HE SERVED AS A MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST IN FORT LAUDERDALE FROM 19-94 TO 19-98.
BUT LATCH SAYS HE AND POLITICAL ACTIVIST BILL KNOWLES CHECKED WITH FLORIDA OFFICIALS AND FOUND THAT DALLEMAND NEVER RECEIVED A THERAPIST'S LICENSE.
LATCH SAYS HE WANTS THE SCHOOL BOARD TO MAKE HIM COME CLEAN.
Darren Latch, Educational Activist: I don't necessarily want Dr. Dallemand dismissed out of this. What I do want is for the board of education to make him accountable and remind the board of education that Dr. Dallemand works for them as much as they work for us.
A SCHOOL DISTRICT SPOKESPERSON SAID DALLEMAND HAD NO IMMEDIATE COMMENT ON THE COMPLAINT... BUT MIGHT RESPOND LATER.

MACON POLICE SAY THEY PLAN TO KEEP TEENS OFF THE STREET AT NIGHT... BY ENFORCING THE CITY'S CURFEW.
CHILDREN 17 AND UNDER AREN'T ALLOWED OUT ON THE STREETS BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND FIVE A-M.
THAT'S BEEN THE RULE FOR YEARS... BUT IT'S SELDOM ENFORCED.
BUT THIS SUMMER... MAJOR ROBERT GRABOWSKI SAYS OFFICERS WILL TAKE ANYONE VIOLATING CURFEW TO A POLICE PRECINCT.
THE CHILD'S PARENTS OR GUARDIANS WILL GET A CITATION AND COURT DATE.
POLICE SAY THEY'LL GIVE OUT WARNINGS FOR FIRST OFFENSES... BUT LATER OFFENSES COULD LEAD TO FINES.
GRABOWSKI HOPES THIS WILL ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO KEEP A CLOSER EYE ON THEIR CHILDREN.
"We would much rather take approaches like this, notify them, and help curb people hanging out before something happens to them and an innocent person gets hurt or injured and then now we have to go to that citizen's or parent's house and say that somethings happened to their child because they were hanging out at this time of night."
GRABOWSKI SAYS IF OFFICERS CAN'T REACH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN... THEY'LL TAKE CURFEW-BREAKERS TO THE REGIONAL YOUTH DETENTION CENTER OR THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND CHILDREN'S SERVICES.

Tom Sarrthud, Warner Robins: I came here to take a look I think we're not gonna see this again. I don't know when next time they're going to come again so that's why I take the opportunity to take some pictures
AND A FEW HOPED SOME OF THE CHANGES WOULD INCLUDE A HOLLYWOOD STAR ON SECOND STREET.
Amy West, Macon: Well honestly I just wanted to see if Harrison Ford was on the streets yet we're dying to see him.
Austin Lewis, Eyewitness News: Now I am standing in front of Sid's Soup, Sandwich, Salad shop here in Downtown Macon but in the movie 42 it will be transformed into a hardware store. Check out brooms, a shovel, rake, and mops all props for the movie 42. And if you follow me, next door to Jennoly's pizza shop it's transformed to an old barber shop and these aren't the only downtown businesses that are getting a hollywood makeover.
Regina Baker, Lizella: It's like a facelift, they put different colors on it, it's just beautiful it just makes you feel like you are in Hollywood.
AND SOME ARE HOPING THAT HOLLYWOOD WILL BE HERE TO STAY.
Regina Baker, Lizella: I think it's beautiful really it is in all honesty maybe some of the stores will keep them especially the pizza place, I think that's beautiful, how they did that with the red and white and everything and it kinda goes with there decor.
