A MACON WOMAN WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD ON SATURDAY... BUT IT DIDN'T KILL HER.
SHE SAYS DOCTORS TOLD HER THE BULLET HAS TO STAY PUT FOR MORE THAN A WEEK.
POLICE SAY IT ALL HAPPENED ON MILLERFIELD ROAD... WHEN SHOTS RANG OUT... AFTER A GROUP OF GUYS GOT INTO A FIGHT.
AS AUSTIN LEWIS REPORTS... THE WOMAN SAYS SHE'S HAPPY TO BE ALIVE... BUT READY TO MOVE ON.

Doris Day, Macon: As I was getting ready to leave, I seen a whole bunch of paw, paw, paw, paw
THAT'S WHEN DAY SAYS SHE SAW ABOUT 12 PEOPLE RUNNING FRANTICALLY FROM THE CAR WASH TOWARDS THE STORE NEXT DOOR.
Doris Day, Macon: so me I see everybody running, I jumps out my car and I try to run to the store, cause we got the bullet proof glass in there so I am trying to get back into the store.
AS SHE MADE HER WAY TO DOOR... DAY SAYS THAT WHEN SHE WAS SHOT.
Doris Day, Macon: as I lift my head back up that's when the blood start gushing out.
DAY SAYS WHAT SAVED HER LIFE...WAS THE BUILDING ITSELF.
Doris Day, Macon: when the bullet ricocheted off the building it something before it hit me, cause if it wouldn't have hit nothing before it hit me I would have been dead.
ALL SHE COULD THINK ABOUT WERE HER CHILDREN.
Doris Day, Macon: Oh like, I hope I;m not fitting to die, I hope I ain't fitting to die, you know what I'm saying I got kids to live so that's all my main focus was on me not dying and my kids.
DAY SAYS THE BULLET PIERCED HER SKIN.. BUT DIDN'T PUNCTURE THE SKULL... AND IT SETTLED RIGHT BETWEEN HER EYES.
SHE SAYS DOCTORS WANT TO WAIT TEN DAYS BEFORE THEY TAKE IT OUT.
Doris Day, Macon: They say because of my tissues they want I guess they want my tissues to heal before they can take the bullet out.
WHILE SHE'S GRATEFUL TO SEE ANOTHER DAY... SHE CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE REMINDER OUT OF HER HEAD.
Doris Day, Macon:It hurt now, my head hurt now, with it sitting in my face, it hurts yea, but I am okay though, I'm living,
MACON POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CAR WASH... DAY HOPES PEOPLE WILL HELP.
Doris Day, Macon: If they know anything that happened please come forward because I think it was kinda messed up. I could have lost my life and my kids could have been just somewhere out there.

A HOUSTON COUNTY MAN REMAINS IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER A SHERIFF'S DEPUTY SHOT HIM DURING A STAND OFF.
A PRESS RELEASE SAYS DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO A DOMESTIC 911 CALL AROUND 6 P-M SATURDAY... AT 1204 HOUSTON LAKE ROAD.
WHEN THEY ARRIVED... THE RELEASE SAYS 61-YEAR-OLD DAVID CLAYBOSS HAD A WEAPON IN HIS HAND... BUT WHEN ASKED TO PUT IT DOWN... HE REFUSED.
THAT'S WHEN ONE OF THE DEPUTIES SHOT CLAYBOSS.
NO ONE ELSE WAS INJURED.
THE RELEASE SAYS THE G-B-I IS INVESTIGATING THE CASE... SINCE A HOUSTON DEPUTY TOOK PART IN THE SHOOTING.
THE HOUSTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ASKS IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION ON THIS INCIDENT TO CALL THE GBI AT 478-987-4545.

THREE PEOPLE ARE DEAD AND THREE WOUNDED AFTER A SHOOTING NEAR THE CAMPUS OF AUBURN UNIVERSITY.
POLICE SAY TWO OF THE DEAD ARE FORMER AUBURN FOOTBALL PLAYERS.
DREW LEVINSON IS AT THE CRIME SCENE AND REPORTS THE ALLEGED SHOOTER IS STILL ON THE RUN.

Yellow police tape surrounds the apartment complex where authorities say a man opened fire killing three people and injuring three others.
Two of the dead are former Auburn football players.
Police say THE INCIDENT began with a fight at a Saturday night party.

(:17-:23) (SOT Auburn Police Chief Tommy Dawson ) "THIS IS A TRYING TIME, ... IT'S SIX YOUNG PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN SHOT. AS YOU CAN TELL, THE COMMUNITY IS SHAKEN BY THIS."

AUTHORITIES ARE SEARCHING for the alleged shooter - 22-year-old Desmonte Leonard.
THEY say he faces three capital murder charges.
AND think he may be hiding out about an hour away in Montgomery .

The dead FORMER football players are 20-year-olds Edward Christian and Ladarious Phillips .
A current player - Eric Mack was wounded.
Auburn's police chief says his department plans to DO eveything it can to bring this case to a close.

A KATHLEEN FAMILY SAYS THEY'RE RELIEVED TO HAVE THEIR FRONTYARD BACK... AFTER THOUSANDS OF ANNOYING PESTS... MADE A HOME RIGHT OUTSIDE THEIR DRIVEWAY.
CHECK THIS OUT...THAT'S OVER 30-THOUSAND BEES ON THE GREENE FAMILY'S MAILBOX.
TODAY... A BEEKEEPER AND A LOCAL HELPER...15-YEAR-OLD DARLYN DAVIS... USED A VACCUM TO SUCK THE THOUSANDS OF BEES OFF THE MAILBOX.
THE GREENES SAY THEY FIRST NOTICED THE BEES BUZZING ON SATURDAY.
Brittany Greene, Kathleen: I pulled in and I thought something was growing on the mailbox like a plant or something and I pulled in and saw them swarming and I ran to tell her my mom.
THE BEES DIDN'T LEAVE HONEY FOR THE GREENE FAMILY... BUT SOON THEY'LL BE BUZZING IN A NEW HOME.

THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY SAYS THEY'VE SCHEDULED TESTING ON THEIR SYSTEM.
ITS SET TO BEGIN AT ELEVEN A-M AND SHOULD WRAP UP AT FIVE IN THE AFTERNOON.
OFFICIALS SAY THE TEST COULD BE CALLED OFF... IF THE WEATHER DOESN'T PERMIT.

GROWING WILDFIRES IN COLORADO COULD FORCE OFFICIALS TO BAN FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS THIS SUMMER.
HUNDREDS HAVE ALREADY LEFT THEIR HOMES IN NEW MEXICO AND COLORADO... BECAUSE OF THE BLAZES.
TODAY ONE IN NOTHERN COLORADO GREW TO 22 SQUARE MILES... AND DAMAGED 18 BUILDINGS.
WILDFIRES IN NEW MEXICO DESTROYED AT LEAST 20 STRUCTRES... SINCE FRIDAY
THE GOVERNOR OF COLORADO SAYS THE SITUATION COULD LAST THROUHOUT THE SUMMER.
The conditions this summer give every indication we're going to be at risk all summer long. And we're going to look very seriously in the next couple of weeks whether we should ban fireworks this summer, Fourth of July. Whether we, is this one of those summers where we need to take really extraordinary precautions and try to do everything we can tomake sure we limit the possibility of a fire starting.
