RICK SANTORUM AND MITT ROMNEY ARE CAMPAIGNING IN WISCONSIN TODAY AHEAD OF THAT STATE'S PRIMARY ON TUESDAY.
A WIN FOR ROMNEY WOULD GIVE HIM A BIG LEAD IN DELEGATES... BUT SANTORUM SAYS HE WILL PRESS ON EVEN IF HE LOSES.
INNES FERRE HAS THE LATEST FROM NEW YORK.

Mitt Romney took aim at President Obama in suburban Milwaukee on Sunday.

sot: Mitt Romney/R-Presidential Candidate (:05-:11)
HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY AND HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE LOOKS LIKE.

The former Massachusetts governor says the president is too comfortable with trillion dollar deficits that could sink the U.S. economy.

(natz)

But Romney must first win his party's nomination before taking on the President.. He leads rival Rick Santorum in the Wisconsin polls and in the overall delegate count.

The former Pennsylvania Senator is vowing to stay in the race even if he loses Tuesday's Wisconsin Primary.

sot: Rick Santorum/R-Presidential Candidate (Courtesy: NBC/Meet the Press) (:34-:40)
LESS THAN HALF THE DELEGATES HAVE BEEN SELECTED WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO, WE ARE GOING TO FIGHT THE FIGHT.

But there is a growing call within the Republican party for Santorum to end his campaign. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says the time has come to focus on the general election.

sot: Sen. Mitch McConnell/R-Kentucky (Courtesy: CNN/State of the Union) (:50-1:00)
but I think it's absolutely apparent that it's in the best interests of our party at this particular point to get behind the person who is obviously going to be our nominee.

Vice President Joe Biden is expecting Romney to win the GOP nomination. He says Romney is out of touch with voters.

SOT: Joe Biden/Vice President (Courtesy: Face the Nation) (1:10-1:15)
I can't remember a presidential candidate in the recent past who seems not to understand, by what he says, what ordinary middle class people are thinking about and are concerned about.

A new poll shows the President's job approval rating is over 50 percent for the first time since June, but many Americans are still worried about rising gas prices.
