***NATS***
BILL WILLIS HAS BEEN A SACRED HEART PARISHIONER FOR 40 YEARS... HE SAYS CHURCH MEMBERS WERE HEART BROKEN OVER THE INCIDENT.
"When they released tose fire extinguishers I dont think they knew the impact it would have on such a holy place."
IT WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY FOR THE ANNIVERSARY MASS.
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR ANNE PICOLA SAYS THE CHURCH HAS BEEN PACKED ALL WEEK FOR WORSHIP... AND CLEAN UP.
"it seems to have brought everybody together. And people have been reaching out, not only our own members and the entire community all week and offering to help.
SHE SAID IT TOOK MORE THAN THREE DAYS TO GET THE PEWS READY FOR SERVICE, THOUGH THE RAFTERS STILL NEED TO BE WIPED CLEAN... BUT SUNDAY AFTERNOON WAS ABOUT SHARING AND THANKSGIVING.
"we're just representing everything from who we are and what we've managed to do to build this church all together."
"hopefully the next five years we'll continue to grow God willing and we'll also continue to provife for al the parishioners here the true meaning of sacred heart."
BECAUSE AS THE PARISHIONERS HAVE STARTED TO SAY... THERE AREN'T ENOUGH EXTINGUISHERS IN THE WORLD TO PUT OUT THE SACRED HEART FLAME.
