U-S ATTORNEY MICHAEL MOORE SAYS TODAY'S CONVICTION OF FIVE DRUG DEALERS WILL HELP SHUT DOWN A DRUG PIPELINE FROM MEXICO...TO CENTRAL GEORGIA.

HE HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE TODAY WITH OTHER LOCAL...STATE....AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.

MOORE SAID THE FIVE WERE CONVICTED OF COCAINE TRAFFICKING CHARGES TODAY IN THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT IN MACON.
TWO ARE FROM BIBB COUNTY AND AT LEAST TWO OTHERS....FROM BALDWIN.

MOORE SAYS THE YEAR LONG CASE STARTED WHEN AUTHORITIES BEGAN INVESTIGATING A DEARLER IN THE MILLEDGEVILLE AREA.
HE SAYS THAT LED THEM TO AN ATLANTA AREA DEALER WHO WAS MOVING ABOUT 1-THOUSAND KILOGRAMS OF COCAINE A YEAR.
MOORE SAYS THE ATLANTA DEALER WAS GETTING HIS DRUGS DIRECTLY FROM A MEXICAN DRUG CARTEL.

MOORE SAYS IT COULD TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS TO SENTENCE THE FIVE PEOPLE INVOLVED.
HE SAYS THE CONVICTIONS COME FROM MANY AGENCIES WORKING TOGETHER.

FOUR CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS NOW FACE WEAPONS CHARGES.
SCHOOL SAFETY DIRECTOR DAVID GOWAN SAYS THREE OF THEM ARE ACCUSED IN THE CENTRAL GUN CASE THAT LED TO A LOCK DOWN AT THE SCHOOL THIS MORNING.
ALTHOUGH HE WOULD NOT NAME THEM... THEY ARE

19 YEAR OLD CANDICE BROWN...17-YEAR-OLD SYLVESTER HOLT...AND 17-YEAR-OLD SHYHEEN WILSON.
ALL THREE ARE ALSO CHARGED WITH DISRUPTING A PUBLIC SCHOOL.

GOWAN SAYS DURING THE SEARCH THIS MORNING... CAMPUS POLICE ALSO FOUND A BOXCUTTER.... UNRELATED TO THE GUN CASE.

HE SAID A FEMALE STUDENT IS CHARGED WITH BRINGING THE BOXCUTTER TO CENTRAL.
SHE'S18 YEAR OLD CANDRA CONLEY.

BROWN AND HOLT REMAIN IN THE BIBB COUNTY JAIL.
CONLEY AND WILSON WERE RELEASED TODAY.

MACON POLICE CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR A BYRON MAN... BACK ON THE STREETS AFTER HE WAS CHARGED WITH INDECENT EXPOSURE.

JAMI GAUDET WITH THE MACON POLICE SAYS 46-YEAR-OLD TIMOTHY MARCUS WAS RELEASED ON BOND THURSDAY NIGHT FROM THE BIBB COUNTY JAIL.
HE WAS ARRESTED EARLIER THAT DAY... AND CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF INDECENT EXPOSURE. POLICE SAY HE'S A SUSPECT IN SEVERAL OTHER CASES.

MARCUS IS A CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER... WHO'S ON THE GEORGIA SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY.
HE IS ALSO ON PROBATION FOR A CASE IN MARIETTA.
SARGEANT SEAN DEFOE WITH THE SHERIFFS OFFICE SAYS HE WAS RELEASED BECAUSE MARIETTA HAD NOT FILED ANY WARRANTS OR HOLDS ON HIS PROBATION.
GAUDET SAYS POLICE HAVE A NEW WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST AND AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL CHARGE AGAINST HIM.
BUT SHE SAYS MARCUS CALLED IN SICK TO WORK TODAY... AND AUTHORITIES DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS.

GAUDET SAYS POLICE BELIEVE MARCUS IS DRIVING A CHAMPAGNE 2011 TOYOTA CAMRY... WITH TAG NUMBER B-U-Y-7-0-7-6.

SHE ASKS ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO CALL MACON REGIONAL CRIMESTOPPERS AT 1-877-68-CRIME. AGAIN THAT....1-877-68-CRIME.
