Mike Sherrod, CEO: He was an incredible leader, always pushed us to focus on patient care and our employees, someone who has that much knowledge and that much support of us is a huge loss to have something like this happen
WE ALSO TALKED WITH SOME OF GOLSON'S NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS TONIGHT ABOUT THE PLANE CRASH AND HOW THEY'RE COPING WITH THE TRAGEDY.
sot: He's really going to be missed. Hard to believe how you could become so close to your neighbor and love them like we love them.
Wayne Swafford is talking about his neighbor and good friend Allen Golson. He says some of his fondest memories of Golson happened on the golf field.
sot: He was a better golfer than me but we enjoyed playing together. Got to the point where we would play every Saturday together.
He said his friend also shared a passion for flying.
sot: He was always talking about bout enjoying flying his airplanes and he had several.
Another neighbor.... Ron Rankin says he too was close with Golson. He says Golson talked about the preparations he was making with his wife Carol in their move to Florida.
sot: They were full of life and all excited about moving to Ocala and his new job. It's hard to deal with. Hard to accept the fact that he's gone. It's amazing what can happen. A really tragic accident. Seems like bad things happen to good people.
sot: He was really a fine person. I don't think he had any enemies at all. He loved everybody and everybody loved him.
