You'll have a nice restaurant and club house. You've got 27 holes, teaching, a big driving range. So, it would be a good thing for famillies to go out and have picnics and things like that."
SHAHEEN SAYS IF THE CITY BOUGHT THE LANDINGS COURSE... THEY WOULD LIKELY SELL THE INTERNATIONAL CITY GOLF COURSE... THAT THEY ALREADY OWN.
THE LANDINGS CLUB IS VALUED AT MORE THAN THREE MILLION DOLLARS.
SHAHEEN SAYS HE'LL BRING THE IDEA TO COUNCIL AT TOMORROW NIGHT'S PRE-COUNCIL MEETING

BUT NOW... ONE JUDGE IN THE STATE IS SAYING "NOT SO FAST."
TODAY - THAT JUDGE TEMPORARILY BLOCKED THE RELEASE OF 21 INMATES... AT THE REQUEST OF MISSISSIPPI ATTORNEY GENERAL JIM HOOD.

IN A STATEMENT TODAY... BARBOUR SAYS SOME PEOPLE MAY HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD WHY HE GAVE REPRIEVES TO THE INMATES.
LAST NIGHT... THE EYES OF THE NATION WERE ON NEW HAMPSHIRE AND THEIR PRIMARY.
TONIGHT... THE FOCUS HAS SHIFTED TO SOUTH CAROLINA... AS REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS CAMPAIGN AHEAD OF THE THIRD NOMINATION CONTEST OF THE YEAR... AND THE FIRST IN THE SOUTH.
RANDALL PINKSTON HAS MORE.
Newt Gingrich knows the clock is ticking in South Carolina, and is actively recruiting conservatives to support his campaign.
(SOT - Newt Gingrich/R-Presidential Candidate 6-18)
"If you will help me unify the conservatives in this state in the next 10 days I will win the nomination.. If I win South Carolina I'm going to win the nomination. It's that clear."
Gingrich finished in fourth place in New Hampshire. He, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry are asking the right to carry them through... Jon Huntsman finished third... He's taking an even more direct approach.
(SOT - Jon Huntsman/R-Presidential Candidate 28-36)
"I'm a shameless political salesman. I have just one request for you... I want your vote!"
Mitt Romney returned to the south Wednesday... He's still the frontrunner here, and is campaiging as if Barack Obama were his only opponent.
(SOT - Mitt Romney/R-Presidential Candidate 44-50)
"He is leading us down a path to be the next Italy or Greece... Im convinced we'll be there at some point if we don't get this guy out of office."
(STANDUP BRIDGE: Randall Pinkston/CBS News 55-102)
"Mitt Romney knows South Carolina is not a moderate state like New Hampshire. To win here, he'll have to attract conservatives who viewed him as too liberal in 2008."
Wesley Donehue is a republican political consultant who worked for the Romney four years ago. He says Republicans are more accepting of his campaign now because they think he can defeat Barack Obama.
(SOT - Wesley Donehue/Republican Political Consultant 114-122)
"Before it was like selling a ribeye to a vegetarian... But now those vegetarians are starting to like the taste of meat a little bit.

THIS WEEK... WE'RE KEEPING YOU BRIEFED ON THE CONSUMER ELECTONICS SHOW IN VEGAS.
NOW... TECH LOVERS GO FOR THE SUPER-COOL GADGETS THAT BORDER ON SCIENCE FICTION.
BUT THIS YEAR'S C-E-S FEATURES PLENTY OF ITEMS THAT COULD SOON BE IN YOUR LIVING ROOM... OFFICE... OR EVEN YOUR POCKET.
THIS YEAR'S CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW IN LAS VEGAS HAS BROUGHT PLENTY FOR THE NON-TECHIE. ITEMS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY FACET OF AN AVERAGE CONSUMER'S LIFE.
What we're seeing, I think, is some incremental changes to a lot of things that are already in our lives.//Maybe it's a better show for the mainstream consumer than it often is.
20-11 WAS DUBBED BY MANY AS THE YEAR OF THE TABLET. DESPITE ITS POPULARITY, IT HAS ITS LIMITATIONS.
I think you're seeing a number of solutions in this space, because people love tablets but one of the disadvantages is they don't have the physical keyboard, it's not as easy to do real work on them as it is on a laptop.
SO THIS YEAR'S SHOW FEATURES LOTS OF ULTRA-BOOKS -- SLIMMER AND LIGHTER LAPTOPS BRIDGING THOSE GAPS.
3-D T-V'S WERE A HOT TREND LAST YEAR, BUT THE AVERAGE CONSUMER WASN'T REALLY BUYING IT. SO 20-12 BRINGS BIGGER TWO DIMENSIONAL T-V'S, WITH BETTER RESOLUTION AND PICTURE.
AND THOUGH THE DIGITAL CAMERA AND THE CAMCORDER HAVE BEEN BIGFOOTED LATELY BY PHOTO AND VIDEO-CAPABLE SMARTPHONES. THERE'S NEW DEVELOPMENTS THERE, TOO, INTEGRATING NEW DEVICES WITH THE WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA.
THE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION PREDICTS RECORD INDUSTRY REVENUE IN 20-12, DRIVEN PRIMARILY BY SMARTPHONE SALES.
