THIS AFTERNOON... THE GLOVER MEMORIAL MORTUARY IN MACON ANNOUNCED HIS FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.
A SERVICE WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY... AT 1 P-M.. AT GREATER ZION HILL BAPTIST CHURCH ON NAPIER AVENUE.
THAT'S ACCORDING TO THE REVEREND DOCTOR WALTER GLOVER... WHO WILL DELIVER THE EULOGY.
HE SAYS NO VISITATION IS SCHEDULED... AND BURIAL IS PRIVATE.
FAMILY MEMBERS WERE TALKING TODAY ABOUT BROWN'S STATE OF MIND IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO HIS SUICIDE.
TODAY A COUSIN TOLD US BROWN SEEMED VERY DEPRESSED ABOUT THE FUTURE WHEN THEY LAST TALKED ON SUNDAY.
CALVIN WILLIAMS SAYS BROWN WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND VERY ILL... FOUR YEARS AGO... AND FEARED THAT THE ILLNESS HAD RETURNED RECENTLY.
WILLIAMS WAS AT BROWN'S BRIARCLIFF ROAD HOME THIS MORNING WHILE TAKING CARE OF HIS COUSIN'S BUSINESS.
WHEN HE COULDN'T REACH HIM ALL WEEK....WILLIAMS WAS CONCERNED SOMETHING WAS WRONG.
WILLIAMS SAYS BROWN HAD A STOMACH PROBLEM.....BUT HE DIDN'T KNOW DETAILS OF HIS COUSIN'S AILMENTS....OR WHY HE WAS HOSPITALIZED FOUR YEARS AGO.
BIBB COUNTY CORONER LEON JONES SAID TODAY'S AUTOPSY CONFIRMED THAT BROWN KILLED HIMSELF PROBABLY SOMETIME THURSDAY MORNING.
THE BAPTIST MINISTERS UNION OF MACON AND VICINITY WILL COMMEMORATE ROBERT BROWN AT ITS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BANQUET TONIGHT AT 7.
BEFORE HIS DEATH...THE GROUP ORIGINALLY PLANNED TO HONOR BROWN ... ALONG WITH C. JACK ELLIS AND DAVID LUCAS.
