(--PKG--)

With Herman Cain out of the GOP race for President - -

(NAT SOT) "I'M SUSPENDING MY PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN"

--Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are pulling away from the pack.

(graphic) In Iowa--where the caucuses are just a month away--A Des Moines Register poll has Gingrinch on top with 25 percent.

He's followed by Representative Ron Paul of Texas with 18 Percent and Romney with 16.

(graphic) In The latest NBC News-Marist Poll in New Hampshire--the site of the first primary, Romney leads with 39 percent followed by Gingrich with 23 and Paul with 16.

Though Gingrich and Romney lead--it's Michelle Bachman who sees Cain supporters coming over to her side.

(:41-:46) (--SOT: MICHELE BACHMANN/(R) PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE-- CNN)

"THEY SAW HERMAN CAIN AS AN OUTSIDER AND I THINK THEY SEE THAT MY VOICE WOULD BE ONE THAT WOULD BE MOST REFLECTIVE OF HIS."

The Democrats see the Cain loss as a Gingrinch gain.

(:51-:59) (--ROBERT GIBBS/PRESIDENT OBAMA CAMPAIGN ADVISER--)

"I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE BELTWAY AND OUTSIDE THE BELTWAY WOKE UP TODAY TO A VERY DIFFERENT POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT...ONE IN WHICH NEWT GINGRICH IS VERY MUCH FOR REAL"

With Gingrich surging, Romney holding steady, and the Republicans still divided, the GOP chairman was asked if the Republicans might go into their convention without a nominee.

(1:10-1:19) (--SOT: REINCE PRIEBUS/REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CHAIRMAN--)

"I THINK IT'S HIGHLY, HIGHLY DOUBTFUL THAT THAT HAPPENS. AND I'LL TELL YOU THIS, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, WE ARE GOING TO BE UNIFIED, BECAUSE THIS PRESIDENT NEEDS TO BE FIRED.

Before that can happen--a clear candidate must emerge--that may begin in Iowa.
