(nat of runners)

Elle and Lily Kate continue a Thanksgiving family tradition... The Gobble Jog.

(SOT 10:08:17 we've run this a few years in a row, it's just something we like to do on Thanksgiving. )
(sot: 89:16:12 who's the fastest? me!)

This year, they're missing their coach... Their dad.

(9:03:15 so, is your whole fmaily going to be together for Thanksgiving? 9:06:02: not my dad because he's in Iraq.)

When Abe was last home he taught little Lily Kate to run... To pump her arms and lift her legs.

(8:35:22 SOT: have you been practicing? YEA!)

(9:26:04 he's coming home soon. Do you know when or just soon? I don't know so I think it's just soon)

Very soon. As Elle and Lily Kate make their way to the Tot Trot start line, they don't know what's waiting at the finish.

21:24:19 I think they'll be pretty surprised, they don't have any idea, so it'll be fun to see how they react.

Kelly has already seen her husband. She's in on this surprise.

Dad is the real runner in this family, and the girls are eager to follow in his footsteps... but the Tot Trot is delayed... again...and again. It allows for some unconventional warm-ups. (1:08:07 ring around teh rosie!) And more nervous waiting. Forty minutes later, this may be the most anticipated Tot Trot ever.

1:57:28 go pro: GO!

2:10:11 shot of Lily running

Look at those arms pumping! Dad would be proud... and then, suddenly, there he is. But the girls are too busy racing....they don't see him at first.

(32:16:04 Elle! Elle!)

3:18:10 (elle's arms go up, she sees him)

3:21:18 great shot of mom telling Lily her dad is here

32:26:15 squeel! daddy!

33:05:09 mom: I love you. (smmoch)

33:22:16 very thankful for today and getting to come home

Baby Brinkley... joins the celebration... and it is suddenly a perfect finish line photo.
