Six of the Republican presidential candidates shared a stage in Iowa to talk about religion and how they would lead.

(:06-:15) (-- MICHELE BACHMANN SOT--) "I'LL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD IN THE NEXT WORLD. AND THAT IS A PART OF BEING PRESIDENT. WHEN YOU TAKE THAT OATH WE ARE ANSWERABLE TO GOD."

(NATS)

Some candidates got emotional as they described how faith helped them through personal struggles.. for Herman Cain it was his battle with cancer.

(:25-:35) (-- HERMAIN CAIN SOT--) "WALKING OUT OF THE SURGEONS OFFICE AFTER SHE HAD JUST TOLD US STAGE FOUR.. HE SHAKES HIS HEAD AND TEARS UP .. I TOLD MYSELF I WASN"T GOING TO DO THIS."

Iowa holds its caucuses in about six weeks - it's the first chance for voters to officially back a candidate.

Newt Gingrich is taking advantage of his uptick in the polls. He's running neck and neck with Mitt Romney.

(:53-1:02) (SOT: NEWT GINGRICH SOT ) "OUR FOUNDING DOCUMENT WHICH IS THE BASE OF OUR GOVERNMENT SAYS WE ARE ENDOWED BY OUR CREATOR AND THEREFORE WE HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES AS CITIZENS TO THAT CREATOR."

(NATS)

(FILE VIDEO 1/2008) Romney wasn't at the forum. He didn't fare well with conservatives in Iowa four years ago.

Though he hasn't spent a lot of time Iowa he did open a campaign office in Des Moines this week.

Now he's IN New Hampshire home to the nation's first primary.

(NATS)

A recent Bloomberg News poll shows among Iowa voters Ron Paul is near the top.
