SEVERAL STUDENTS WE SPOKE WITH SAY THE POLICY IS A STEP FORWARD.
Student: "I'm Baptist myself, but I think everyone's entitled to their own personal choice, again a life choice like that, I'm happy for them. Things like that, it wouldn't do any harm to anyone."
Student: "A lot of faculty weren't coming to Mercer because they didn't have the benefits, and now it has opened the school up to a broader range of faculty."
Student: "There will be a lot of opposition I think, from older supporters. But I think it's neccessary, it's a great step forward for Mercer to stay current."
