BIBB COUNTY CORONER LEON JONES SAYS 31-YEAR OLD ALENIO CULVER WAS SHOT IN HIS CHEST JUST AFTER 2 P-M TODAY...

JONES SAYS CULVER WAS FOUND IN HIS PARKED CAR... ON LITTLE SHORT STREET.. BETWEEN COWAN AND HALL STREETS IN EAST MACON...

HE SAYS MACON POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE HOMICIDE...

THE NEW COLLEGE HILL BEAR TRAIL IN MACON... LOST A MEMBER OF THE PACK EARLIER TODAY...

TWO MERCER UNIVERSITY STUDENTS STOLE AND DAMAGED ONE OF THE NEW BEAR STATUES.... THAT'S ACCORDING TO JONATHAN DYE WITH MACON ARTS ALLIANCE...

DYE SAID IT HAPPENED AROUND 12:30 THIS MORNING....

MERCER POLICE DETAINED THE STUDENTS ALONG WITH THE STOLEN FIBERGLASS BEAR.....

DYE SAID THE CASE HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO THE MACON POLICE DEPARTMENT.... WHERE IT'S STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION....

HE SAID NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED.....

THE TWO STUDENTS NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED....

MACON ARTS ALLIANCE AND SEVERAL OTHER GROUPS WORKED ON THE BEAR TRAIL PROJECT... WHICH WAS DEDICATED EARLIER THIS WEEK....

THE SIX BEARS WHERE PUT UP IN THE COLLEGE HILLS AREA.... WITH ONE MORE TO BE SET UP AT MERCER UNIVERSITY

IN NATIONAL NEWS... TENSE MOMENTS AS OCCUPY WALL STREET PROTESTERS TRIED TO RUSH THE COLORADO CAPITOL TODAY.

POLICE FIRED PEPPER SPRAY AND USED PEPPER-BALL GUNS AGAINST DEMONSTRATORS IN DENVER...

IT'S ILLEGAL TO PROTEST INSIDE THE CAPITOL, SO POLICE PUSHED THEM BACK.....

THAT'S WHEN ONE OFFICER WAS KNOCKED OFF HIS MOTORCYCLE AND TWO OTHERS WERE KICKED IN THE HEAD.....

A TOTAL OF SEVEN PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED.

THE GROUP PLANS TO LAY THEM DURING THE SECOND OF WEEK OF DECEMBER.... AT THE VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETARY IN MILLEDGEVILLE....

COMMANDER JOESPH JONES SAYS HELPING OUT ALLOWS THE CADETS TO SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION.

OVER 80 VENDERS TRAVELED FROM ALL ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST... TO SHOW OFF THEIR UNIQUE CRAFTS.....

THE FESTIVAL MARKED THE LAST DAY.... OF A WEEK FULL OF FUN IN EATONTON.... WHICH INCLUDED SPOOKY TOURS AROUND TOWN AND A SHOW AT THE UNCLE REMUS MUSEUM....

MUSIC... CRAFTS... AND OTHER ACTIVITIES GAVE FOLKS ANOTHER CHANCE TO COME OUT AND SUPPORT THEIR COMMUNITY.

Katy Smith, Organizer "It's a way for us to promote the community within the community but also to our surrounding communities. Inviting people to see the merchants downtown and the things that we do have to offer in Eatonton. Also it's one of Eatonton Mainstreet's biggest money makers which then in turn allows us to do more things for our downtown."

Roseanne Fielder, Vendor "Its really grown. This year they have vendors all around the courthouse. The first year it was pretty small."

ORGANIZERS SAY THEY EXPECT THE FESTIVAL TO KEEP GROWING EVERY YEAR WITH MORE VENDORS AND ACTIVITIES.

MAN'S BEST FRIEND GOT IN ON SOME OF THE HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES EARLIER TODAY.

PEOPLE DRESSED UP THEIR FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDS FOR A COSTUME CONTEST.

IT WAS ALL PART OF DOG-TOBER-FEST.

THE EVENT RAISES MONEY FOR LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTERING FOR HOUSTON COUNTY AND SURROUND AREAS.

VENDORS WERE ON HAND.. SELLING PET PRODUCTS AND ARTS AND CRAFTS.

PEOPLE ALSO USED THE MOBILE GROOMING TRAILER TO GIVE THEIR PETS A MAKEOVER.

VOULUNTEER MARIE STEWART SAYS THE EVENT HELPS TO MAKE OWNING A PET MORE AFFORDABLE.

"A lot of people shy away from having animals because of the expense of animals but if we can get them a low cost spay and neuturing situation then maybe they can afford to have animals."
