THIS IS EYEWITNESS NEWS AT 11.

THE BIBB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP... AS THEY INVESTIGATE AN EARLY MORNING SHOOTING AT A MACON NIGHT CLUB.

SERGEANT SEAN DEFOE SAYS IT HAPPENED AROUND 3-AM.. IN THE PARKING LOT OF ROCK-A-BILLY'S ON SHERATON DRIVE.

DEFOE SAYS.. ACCORDING TO WITNESSES.... AN ARMED SECURITY GUARD APPROACHED 21-YEAR-OLD TERRANCE DAVIS OF MACON.... AFTER SHOTS WERE FIRED IN THE PARKING LOT.

THE GUARD TOLD DAVIS TO DROP THE HANDGUN HE WAS HOLDING..... BUT DAVIS SHOT AT THE GUARD INSTEAD.

THE SECURITY GUARD FIRED BACK AT DAVIS.. HITTING HIM IN THE HIP.

DEFOE SAYS.. THATS WHEN DAVIS JUMPED IN A CAR AND TRIED TO LEAVE THE SCENE.

OFFICERS STOPPED THE CAR AND FOUND DAVIS WITH THE HANDGUN.

DEFOE SAYS.. DAVIS WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOR HIS INJURIES... HE IS LISTED IN STABLE CONDITION.

THE SECURITY GUARD WAS NOT HURT DURING THE SHOOTING.

AN WOMAN DIED THIS MORNING... AFTER A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT IN LIZELLA.

SERGEANT SEAN DEFOE.. WITH THE BIBB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS.... 71-YEAR OLD BETTY BYFORD DIED... WHEN HER CAR RAN OFF THE ROAD AND FLIPPED OVER.

A RELEASE FROM THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS... IT HAPPENED AROUND 11 THIS MORNING... AT 71-20 BETHEL CHRUCH ROAD IN LIZELLA.

SERGEANT SEAN DEFOE SAYS... BYFORD DIED ON THE SCENE.

NO ONE ELSE WAS INJURED.

INVESTIGATORS ARE STILL TRYING TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED A FATAL PLANE CRASH IN CRISP COUNTY THIS WEEKEND.

CORONER J-D RAINEY SAYS... WAYNE CASTLEBERRY OF CORDELE DIED AT THE HOSPITAL.. AFTER HIS PLANE WENT DOWN JUST BEFORE 8 P-M SATURDAY NIGHT.

CHIEF DEPUTY BILLY HANCOCK SAYS.. CASTLEBERRY WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANE.

KATHLEEN BERGEN WITH THE F-A-A SAYS... THE PILOT WAS PRACTICING TAKE-OFFS AND LANDINGS.. WHEN HE HIT SOME TREES.

PEOPLE COULD ALSO BUY PINK STRANDS TO PUT IN THEIR HAIR.... AS A REMINDER OF THE BATTLE MANY FACE WITH THE DISEASE....

SALON CO-OWNER KIRISTI HARRELL SAYS THE EVENT IS JUST ONE WAY FOR HER SALON TO MAKE A CUT AT CANCER.....

Kristi harrell: "in order to find the cure for cancer there has to be events like this..you know that led up to it. I mean there's not much that we can personally do. We are not biologist or researchers but we can do hair, so that's what we can do".

 

STRANDS SALON ALSO OFFERRED MASSAGES... FACE-PAINTING... AND A MOON-BOUNCE AT THE FUNDRAISER.

IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE PETS.... AT THE ANNUAL WOOFSTOCK CELEBRATION IN GRAY..

FOLKS CAME OUT TO ENCOURAGE ADOPTIONS... AND SPAYING AND NEUTERING PETS...

THE EVENT... HOSTED BY FUREVER FRIENDS... BROUGHT FUZZY CANINES OUT WITH THEIR OWNERS.... TO LISTEN TO MUSIC AND PLAY IN THE OBSTICLE COURSE.

BUT IT WASN'T ALL ABOUT THE FUN... THE GOAL OF THE EVENT WAS TO HELP ANIMALS LIVE THE BEST LIVES POSSIBLE.
