The two Americans spent more than 780 days in an Iranian prison --convicted along with their friend Sarah Shourd for spying and trespassing.
Shroud was released last year

(SOT JOSH FATTAL)
"Many times, too many times, we heard the screams of other prisoners being beaten and there was nothing we could do to help them. "

The three were hiking in Northern Iraq in 2009 and claim they mistakenly crossed the unmarked border into Iran.
They have called themselves hostages and politcal prisoners.

( SOT: Shane Bauer)
"THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT CROSSING THE UNMARKED BETWEEN IRAN AND IRAQ, WE WERE HELD BECAUSE OF OUR NATIONALITY."

Bauer and Fatal were reunited Wednesday with their families in Oman.
It was especially sweet for Shane because Sarah was also there to greet him, the two got engaged while in prison.
