MACON POLICE RETURNED TODAY FOR ANOTHER SEARCH AT THE APARTMENT COMPLEX WHERE INVESTIGATORS SAY LAUREN GIDDINGS MAY HAVE BEEN MURDERED.
SEVERAL OFFICERS SPENT MUCH OF THE AFTERNOON AT 1058 GEORGIA AVENUE IN DOWNTOWN MACON..
POLICE SPOKESWOMAN JAMI GAUDET SAID OFFICERS WERE "FOLLOWING CLUES" INSIDE APARTMENT NO. 4.
THAT'S THE HOME OF STEPHEN MCDANIEL.
POLICE HAVE CALLED HIM A PERSON OF INTEREST IN GIDDINGS' DEATH.
SHE SAID INVESTIGATORS "FELT LIKE THEY NEEDED TO COME BACK OUT HERE" BUT WOULDN'T GIVE SPECIFICS.
Jamie Gaudet: "You know we had that originally, we thought it was going to be the beginning of last week and then we added evidence to that, but that really wasn't what changed when we're getting it. We don't know if we're going to get partial or full but they continue to tell us to hold on. And look it's the FBI it's the national arm of investigation for the nation and they want to be right too."
GAUDET SAID POLICE ARE STILL AWAITING FORENSIC TEST RESULTS FROM THE FBI'S CRIME LAB IN QUANTICO, VIRGINIA.
ELEANOR LISSITZYN TELLS US THAT JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO...POLICE REMOVED A LARGE PAPER BAG FROM THE APARTMENT...AND A LARGE STORAGE TUB THAT THEY'D BROUGHT IN EARLIER.

PARIS GOT MORE THAN 84-HUNDRED VOTES IN YESTERDAY'S SPECIAL ELECTION... WHILE LUCAS FINISHED SECOND WITH NEARLY EIGHT THOUSAND.
RANDALL SAVAGE TOOK A LOOK AT THE FIRST DAY OF THE RUNOFF.
<<DAVID LUCAS DIDN'T ATTEMPT TO DISGUISE HIS DISAPPOINTMENT IN FINISHING SECOND IN TUESDAY'S NON-PARTISAN SPECIAL ELECTION.

3:05:22 David Lucas, Senate Hopeful: This has all been about David Lucas. This is the Republican Party wants to defeat David Lucas.
AND LUCAS SINGLED OUT REPUBLICAN STATE REPRESENTATIVE ALLEN PEAKE OF MACON AS THE RINGLEADER.
3:37:08 David Lucas, Senate Hopeful. Allen Peake is right in the middle of it. You talking about somebody who said President Obama needed a birth certificate in order to be on the ballot in Georgia in 2012. But yet he's out pushing somebody else.
PEAKE SAYS HE WHOLEHEARTEDLY SUPPORTS PARIS.
16:19:15 Allen Peake, Paris Supporter: I think what you saw in yesterday's election, not just the Senate race but some of the other ones, is that people are tired of divisive politics which is the way its been handled for the last couple of decades around here. So I think people want us to unite.
PARIS WELCOMED SUPPORTERS.. INCLUDING REPUBLICANS.
9:44:00 Miriam Paris, Senate Frontrunner: I think people liked Miriam Paris, and I think they like the leadership skills that I have shown, and I think that people are coming out without any endorsement. Certainly, I apreciate those endorsements. But I think people have confidence in me that I'll represent them and not just some of the, all of them.

IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU... COULD YOUR FAMILY FIND ALL OF YOUR ACCOUNTS AND DOCUMENTS?
SHERRI GOSS WITH ROSENBERG FINANCIAL GROUP IS HERE WITH SOME ADVICE.
SHERRI... WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR US TO GET OUR AFFAIRS ORGANIZED?
IS IT BECAUSE WE DON'T THINK ANYTHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN?

Sherri: You know, I see cases of that. But I also see cases where there is a terminal illness, and the individual will still not tell his/her family where the bank accounts and important papers are located. I think it's hard to give up control over things, or maybe we just don't want the family to know everything. Regardless, it creates a frustrating situation for the family. Here is what I recommend:

1. According to the National Association of Unclaimed Property, state treasurers currently hold $32.9 billion in unclaimed bank accounts and other assets. So, there's a chance that if you don't tell anybody where your money is, they may not find it. Every family should have a list of bank accounts, investment accounts, insurance policies and annuity contracts, and it should be kept in a safe place.

2. The other items that should be stored in a safe place include a valid will,
proof of ownership of your home, land, cars, etc,
loan information,
DD214, and
stock certificates and savings bonds.
Anything your family would need if something happens to you, should be stored in a safe place.

3. Documents that need to be more accessible include your Advance Directives, and your burial instructions. If these are stored in your safe deposit box, and your name is the only one on it, your family can't get to them when they need to.

4. You can store the documents with your attorney, in a safe-deposit box, or at home in a fire-proof safe. Then, the next step is to tell someone about these documents, and make sure they can access them.
