MACON POLICE HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE THIS AFTERNOON ON A HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION AND THE INVESTIGATION OF A MISSING MERCER LAW STUDENT.
LAUREN DISPIRITO WAS AT THAT CONFERENCE... SHE'S JOINING US WITH AN UPDATE.
Chief Mike Burns: I'll go ahead and say we're treating this, this missing person, we're going ahead treating it as she is the homicide victim. We Can't positively say she is until we can do a DNA test. The fbi is doing that for us. We're not sure when we'll get back but we're all pretty sure that this is going to be the victim.
THANK YOU FOR THAT UPDATE LAUREN...
WE'LL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THIS STORY AND HAVE MORE ON 13WMAZ DOT COM AND TONIGHT ON EYEWITNESS NEWS.
